Tascosa (4-7) scored its lone touchdown on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Thomas McIlraith to Lamar Britton late in the first half to cut the score to 23-7. The Rebels then caught fire in the second half behind a strong passing game of its own.

The Sandies are usually a rock-solid team, and the Rebels' convincing win carried some weight. Last week, Lee capped its nondistrict schedule by dominating Amarillo Tascosa 27-3. Are the Rebels a real threat to take the 3-5A title? I think they are.
